Shenandoah Davis

Shenandoah joined Adventure Nannies at the beginning of 2016, and is now an owner and holds the CEO/Co-Founder role at the company. During her tenure, Adventure Nannies has 10-xed in revenue, grown their staff from 3 to 15, and is one of the most well-known nanny agencies in the world. Their 10-year-plan is to help nannies get to space, the final frontier.

She first dipped her toes into consulting in 2019, and has worked with over 30 agencies ranging in size from $0 to $2M+ on everything from systems design, financial forecasting, establishing core values, and jumping in for owners as a fractional CEO during vacations or parental leaves.

She has been a speaker at various in-person and virtual industry events, and has served as a board member or board advisor to the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies, the International Nanny Association, The Institute of Families and Nannies, and Nanny Relief Fund. She’s currently serving as Chairperson of the Board for Nanny Relief Fund, Membership Chair for Entrepreneur’s Organization-West Bridge Chapter, is co-leading APNA’s Agency Accelerator Program and mentoring an APNA Mastermind Group for the third year in a row. She is a certified Business Consultant through IAP and a best-selling author for her contributions to “Lead Like A Woman: Tales From The Trenches.” She’s been quoted as an industry expert in the New York Times, CNN, Bloomberg, Business Insider, and many other publications.

When she’s not leading her team at Adventure Nannies or helping other business owners grow, she’s working on writing her first full-length non-fiction book, keeping her Duolingo streak up (she’s learning French), running around the woods of Western North Carolina with her dogs, or making something delicious to eat.
