Laura Chandra

Laura possesses a Master’s degree in financial planning from Bentley University and, after a successful career working as a financial planner, “retired” to take over Boston Nanny Centre, a business her mother founded in the 1980s. She has served on the APNA and Nanny Relief Fund boards as their treasurer and was also APNA’s first Diversity Committee Chair (and is currently co-leading their Agency Accelerator Program.) Laura is always the best person to ask about how to split up a dinner tab, if you’ve made enough money to retire yet, or about the rule variations of Settlers of Catan. She’s allergic to most foods and has become a pretty damn good cook as a result.

Laura describes her communication and consulting style as collaborative and empathetic with an emphasis on creating effective systems and problem solving.

Laura is currently learning all about running summer camps (she recently bought one), autism, and human behavioral studies. She spends hours on the nerdier side of TikTok. She lives in Boston, MA with her son Sebi.

Laura was incredibly helpful to me and my business. She was kind and direct. Laura isn’t going to waste your time; she truly wants to help and get down to business. I’m very uncomfortable with numbers and all things QuickBooks. She was able to help me categorize services so I know what my revenue is for each service. She also helped me to adjust and raise my rates and finalize a budget. Her help was invaluable and helped me scale my business. I highly recommend her to any business owner!
